He opened the door of the Thatch home, scoffing when he heard the familiar voice of Flynn Rider. So, he’d been hiding out here? Well, he should have figured Milo would help him. “Yes, cause I’m gonna poison an already poisoned man.” He glanced around the house, completely ignoring the Flynn. Or at least trying. When his eyes fell on Kida and Milo, he paused. He felt a bit bad for Milo, but, hell. Not much he could have done. Not like he planned it. He said nothing, simply reaching into his vest pocket. “So, what’s his symptoms right now? How is pain?”
“It h-hurt a-a-all over.” He winced as he clutched his abdomen in pain. He panted for breath as he leaned against the wall. A shaking hand covered his mouth as he flew into yet another coughing fit which yielded more blood. Goodness when did he get so tired? Milo’s body felt heavy and was having a hard time sitting up. Maybe…. maybe he’d take a little nap. That should help. He was so exhausted that it wasn’t like he could refuse what his body was so clearly trying to tell him. “K-K-Kida I’m s-s-s-sor-” Before he could even finish the word darkness clouded his vision and he felt himself slide completely to the floor.
Kida looked to the tall, skinny man as he walked into the room. So that was the doctor. She looked up at him from her position beside Milo, the look on her face begging him to help, but as soon as Milo started coughing again, she ripped her eyes away from him and went back to soothing her husband as best she could. She could feel his body going limp beneath her, his breathing going from labored to shaky and shallow. “What are you talking about Milo? What are you sorry fo-” And then he was out cold, his body slumped against hers, completely limp, and finally hit the tile of the bathroom floor. “Milo!” She screamed his name, her hands going to his cheeks. Kida looked from Facillier to Flynn, her eyes pleading them to do something. She was so useless, unable to help her husband when he needed her most when he had helped her and her people. Her eyes began to water and she placed her head on Milo’s chest and began praying to the gods in Atlantean to make him better and keep him as far away from death as possible. She needed him.
